From Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th October, the Istanbul Expo Center played host to the 17th ISK-SODEX trade fair in Istanbul, Turkey. The biennial event connects the climatisation industry worldwide, bringing together the international HVAC&R, insulation, pump, valve, fittings, water treatment, fire prevention, pool and solar energy sectors under one roof. With this year’s theme being 'Vital Cycle', the four-day trade fair showcased energy efficiency-oriented systems, sustainable solutions, and the latest technologies in HVAC&R.
Eurovent Association was once again an International Supporter Association, while the team from Eurovent Certification, ProdBIM, and Eurovent Market Intelligence set up stall in exhibition hall 4 at booth E01. The Hygienic Air Handing Unit programme dominated Eurovent Certification’s presence at the show and featured in the line-up of conference sessions with the presentation, "Certification of Hygienic AHUs: Benchmark of Eurovent, VDI, and DIN." Aydin Çalik, Auditor and Client Manager at Eurovent Certification, Melis Dişli, Mechanical Engineer and International Sales Manager at Ventas, and Orhun Aksoy, Sales Manager at Boreas, took to the stage to deliver the presentation on Friday 24th October.
ISK-SODEX is the largest air conditioning fair in the Eurasia Region, and the focal point of the European, Asian, Middle Eastern and North African markets. The exhibition was expansive. It featured 1,000 leading companies across 9 halls, including nearly 250 international exhibitors from 22 countries. More than 300 participants from 61 countries engaged in B2B meetings over the course of the four days.
But it wasn’t just about the exhibition. ISK-SODEX 2025 hosted panels and events focusing on trends set to shape the future of the HVAC industry. 24 sectorial panels took place in the Forum Area over the four days, featuring 38 speakers on a wide range of topics. Additionally, the “Young HVAC Experts Compete” event allowed high school and university students to showcase their technical skills.
On 24th October at 11:35am certification took centre stage in the Forum Area. "Certification of Hygienic AHUs: Benchmark of Eurovent, VDI, and DIN," delivered by Aydin Çalik, Melis Dişli and Orhun Aksoy, broke down the key differences between leading certification frameworks and what they really mean for real-world applications. Aimed at those wanting to understand certification requirements or make informed decisions about hygienic AHUs, the session was essential for those specifying for healthcare, pharmaceuticals, clean environments, or those looking to provide superior Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in educational or commercial environments.
Over in the exhibition area the Eurovent Certification team enjoyed catching up with certified manufacturers old and new, and talking to industry professionals about the wider benefits of certification.
The 2025 ISK-SODEX exhibition was a great success, living up to its reputation as a juggernaut of HVAC&R exhibitions. It offered a valuable opportunity to engage with the Eurasia market and open the industry’s eyes to the benefits of hygienic AHUs. Our thanks go to all those who dropped by our booth, attended the presentation and talked to the team about certification.
