At Eurovent Certita Certification we are recognised as a world leader in third-party product performance certification, for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry. Based on a voluntary approach, Eurovent Certita Certification certifies over 40 programmes, including our flagship Eurovent Certified Performance mark, the NF mark, QB mark, Keymark, CE Trade Mark and MCS for Heat Pumps.
Additionally, our energy efficiency label offers a clear and reliable solution to identify the energy efficiency of a product. Based on certified data, energy classes are from A+ to E and allow users to choose products according to their energy efficiency.

attuned to the issues concerning manufacturers, construction professionals and end users in the HVAC&R sector.
By providing truly independent validation of product performance, our services build trust between construction stakeholders, create confidence in specifying and installing HVAC&R products, and reduce the risk in investing in sustainable technology.
With all our programmes, participants gain also access to a full range of data management solutions with ProdBIM, the department dedicated to manufacturers’ digitalization, from BIM to EPREL, regulatory compliance, and beyond.

Eurovent Certification is accredited as a certification body compliant with ISO/IEC 17065:2012 standard by COFRAC (Accreditation N°5-0517, scope available on www.cofrac.fr). This ensures Eurovent Certita Certification always fulfils the highest standards in impartiality, fairness and integrity.
Global Network of Laboratories
Our partner laboratories and agencies are located in 44 countries and are regularly assessed according ISO/IEC 17025. All have been carefully selected for their ability to test products to our programme scope and exacting standards.

History
TODAY
Eurovent Certita Certification is one of the largest independent HVAC&R certification bodies worldwide.
For manufacturers, certification programmes offer a guarantee of product performance, enabling the specification of products that will perform as expected to all relevant regulations, codes and standards.
For architects, consultants, specifiers, designers, installers and end users, Eurovent Certita Certification offers the most complete product database with more than 40 product families covering residential, commercial and industrial HVAC&R applications.

The European HVAC&R industry realised the need for an independent accreditation system, to verify compliance against standards and codes. The vision of a third-party voluntary certification scheme emerged.

Several years of hard work between the industry association Eurovent, and the European Committee of Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers (CECOMAF), saw the establishment of an independent legal entity called the Eurovent Certification Company.

Certification activities commence in earnest. The certification programmes were based on test methods developed within Eurovent Recommendations as well as CEN and ISO standards.

Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI) was officially created as a department within Eurovent Certita Certification, providing reliable market information to manufacturers. In 2013 EMI became an independent entity, evolving into Eurovent Services Company.

The Eurovent Certification Company introduced energy performance certification. The Eurovent energy effiency label mark was born.

The Eurovent Certification Company merged with Certita and became Eurovent Certita Certification, bringing more than 40 certification programmes under the wing of Eurovent Certita Certification.

Eurovent Certita Certification begins to focus on digitalisation, with a new website containing a certified products search engine. The new website offers a range of functionalities to ensure certified data is available 24/7, and enable users to download /compare data.

A new chapter begins with the introduction of a new management board. A dynamic digital marketing service was introduced to support manufacturers in their business and raise awareness of the certified brands. New PIM & BIM services were launched and made available to all certified manufacturers.

In October 2025, Eurovent Certification and Eurovent Middle East unveiled the new Desert Certification option - marking a major step forward for products operating in extreme climates. Designed to test selected products at T1 (35 °C), T3 (46 °C), and operability at 52 °C (with even more demanding conditions for Kuwait), the scheme delivers robust, real-world performance assurance for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. It also introduces the Desert Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (DSEER), a new metric that reflects real-world, part-load conditions.

Building on growing demand for reliable environmental data, Eurovent Certification launched its dedicated Sustainability Department in March 2026. Created as a one-stop-shop to support manufacturers across a growing range of sustainability topics, the new department kicked off with EPD and LCA services, while laying the groundwork for broader support in environmental data, methodology harmonisation, and future sustainability requirements.
