The 2026 Kälte Kolloquium is set to be a driving force in the German-speaking refrigeration sector. On April 21, 2026, the event will return to Munich, Germany, at the BMW Welt. The iconic venue will play host to a now iconic refrigeration event, which returns for its fourth year under the theme of “Sustainable cooling supply in industrial and commercial buildings.”
Organized by Eurovent Certification and Eurovent Association in partnership with COOLPLAN, and supported by media partners cci Dialog GmbH, KKA, and Klima Journal, the event is back to inspire, challenge perspectives, and refresh the refrigeration sector. Gerhard Frei will once again host the proceedings, which will focus on concepts, execution, efficiency, and operational safety.
While the event builds on the success of the previous three Kolloquiums, the format of the 2026 edition has shifted to a one-day event, delivered across three distinct blocks:
Block 1 will be held in the Business Center at BMW Welt and consist of ten high-quality technical presentations on a range of specialist topics, including case studies on natural refrigerant projects, plus insights into training, Ecodesign, artificial intelligence, and more. Featuring a keynote lecture to open, nine specialist seminars, three networking coffee breaks and lunch, block 1 offers a chance to explore the latest trends in refrigeration while expanding your professional connections.
Block 2 gives delegates time to digest the technical program, experience stunning architecture and engineering history, with tours of the BMW Museum and BMW Welt.
Block 3 is where the fun begins with an evening at Bavarie by Käfer. The night kicks off with a cocktail reception, followed by a private dining experience, complete with DJ and rooftop party.
The Kolloquium, held in German, is an excellent opportunity to bring together those who specify, install, purchase, use and manufacture refrigeration systems, to learn, discuss and network, at a world-class venue renowned for engineering excellence.
