Based on certified data, the energy label developed by Eurovent Certita Certification is a clear and reliable solution to quickly identify the energy efficiency of a product. Energy classes are from A+ for the most efficient products to E for the least efficient, helping you make a good choice for sustainability.

Features and benefits

Standardised EU-ready Clear decision support

The energy efficiency label is designed to be read in seconds. It helps buyers compare products, supports compliance, and highlights greener options.

Comparable across product types

Energy efficiency labels use the same classification rules for all product groups, helping identify options that reduce consumption and cost.

Aligned with latest EU standards

Labels help demonstrate compliance with recent EU requirements, with key information displayed simply and clearly.

Supports sustainability goals

Energy labels can help identify products that reduce environmental impact, and may qualify for financial or tax incentives.

Easy-to-understand classes

Simplifies product selection with 6 energy classes from A+ to E.

What products need an energy efficiency label?

EU regulation EPREL Ecodesign

In the EU HVACR market, energy efficiency labels are mandatory for specific product groups under the EU Energy Labelling Regulation, supported by Ecodesign requirements. Labelled products must be registered in EPREL (European Product Registry for Energy Labelling). The main product types that require an energy label are :

Air conditioners (≤ 12 kW)
Includes single and multi-split systems for cooling and heating.
Space heaters & combination heaters
Boilers, heat pumps and hybrid systems up to 70 kW.
Heat pumps
Air-to-air, air-to-water, ground-source and water-source heat pumps used for space heating, plus heat pumps used for water heating.
Chillers
Comfort chillers covered by Ecodesign; energy labelling applies depending on application and capacity.
Residential ventilation units
Including mechanical ventilation systems with or without heat recovery (MVHR).
Commercial refrigerated cabinets
Widely used in supermarkets and the cold food chain.
Electric motors & variable speed drives
1-phase and 3-phase induction motors from 0.12 to 1000 kW, including 8‑pole motors and brake motors.

Simplifying compliance for manufacturers

If your product is certified by Eurovent Certification, we already hold the data required to produce your energy efficiency label. It’s a simple solution to keep products Ecodesign and energy labelling compliant. Get in touch about energy labelling today.

Key steps for energy labelling compliance

  • Confirm your product group is within the EU labelling scope.
  • Ensure EPREL registration details are available.
  • Use certified performance data to generate the label consistently.
  • Keep product documentation aligned (Ecodesign + energy label).
