Fabulous FinnBuild 2026

Finland's leading trade fair for construction, building services and building technology returned from 29 September to 1 October 2026 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. FinnBuild brought together professionals from across the Nordic and Baltic regions to explore the latest developments in sustainable construction, energy-efficient buildings and smart building technologies. Eurovent Certification joined more than 400 exhibitors at this year’s event, and ran information sessions each day, where speakers from certified manufacturers gave insights into the value of certification and impartially verified performance data.

About the show

FinnBuild is widely recognised as Finland's premier event for the construction and building services sectors and is considered one of the most important industry gatherings in the Baltic Sea region. Held every two years, the exhibition serves as a meeting place for manufacturers, contractors, designers, consultants, building owners, developers and public-sector decision-makers.

The 2026 edition welcomed 15,000 visitors and showcased the latest products, services and solutions across construction, HVAC, building automation, energy management, digitalisation and smart building technologies. The event is a platform where industry professionals can discover innovations, strengthen business relationships and gain insight into the future direction of the built environment. Building services engineering remained one of the exhibition's largest areas, with strong representation from HVAC, cooling, ventilation and building automation specialists.

Event highlights

One of the most encouraging aspects of FinnBuild 2026 was the strong support shown by Finland's certified manufacturers. Representatives from Camfil, FläktGroup, Intervent, Komfovent, Lindab, Swegon, Systemair and Zehnder Group generously contributed their time and expertise throughout the event, helping to demonstrate the value of independently verified performance data to visitors across daily information sessions at the Eurovent Certification stand:

Jussi Merilä from Camfil discussed how filters protect people, processes, and the environment from harmful contaminants.

Pia Palmroos from FläktGroup explored the importance of independently verified performance data when selecting air handling units (AHUs).

Ville Nummelin from Intervent also covered AHU technology, focusing in on indoor air quality (IAQ) and energy efficiency.

Reetta Paananen from Komfovent dived into how AHUs can create a comfortable and safe indoor climate.

Pasi Sauvolainen from Lindab considered how to create a better indoor climate using chilled beams and correct ductwork installations.

Olli Ali-Rantala from Swegon presented on using AHU technology to ‘feel good inside.’

Tony Lönnberg from Systemair deliberated on how AHUs can create better air - every day and in every climate.

Peter Bäckblom from Zehnder Group also covered AHUs, discussing how the industry should ensure indoor climate is the primary target.

Their active participation, plus the support of other certified manufacturers in the region, reflects a shared commitment to raising awareness of certification and strengthening trust, transparency and technical excellence across the HVAC industry.

Final thoughts

Finnbuild 2026 brought together innovators, decision-makers, and industry leaders for three days of insight, discussion, and collaboration.

For Eurovent Certification, it was an opportunity to connect with specifiers, manufacturers and end users, and to highlight the paramount importance of trusted, certified performance data.

A big thank you to all speakers and attendees who made the event such a success, and to the organisers for another outstanding edition.
