The 17th RoomVent Conference - RoomVent 2024 - brought together policymakers, designers, researchers, engineers, and other professionals at Stockholmsmässan in Stockholm, Sweden, from 22nd-25th April. Under the theme of ‘Healthy air together - when scientific and industrial advances meet the needs of society,’ RoomVent 2024 proved why it is one of the world's most important conferences in ventilation and indoor climate.
Swedvac (EMTF) was the main organiser, in collaboration with Svensk Ventilation and Nordbygg, which ran alongside RoomVent at the same venue from 23rd-26th April. The research conference, which started in Stockholm, has been held seventeen times around the world, most recently in China, and made a triumphant return to the city where it all began in 1987.
This year’s event concentrated on six key areas of:

The panel, chaired by Morten Schmelzer, Group Public Affairs at Systemair, focused on actionable steps to elevate IAQ to the level of worldwide awareness and legal recognition it rightfully deserves. The decision to align RoomVent 2024 with Nordbygg made a good match between the conference and exhibition. The conference created the ideal environment to explore new concepts and ideas, gain knowledge and discover the latest advances in the industry.
