It is with the deepest of sorrow we announce the passing of Tim Kroeger, Business Development Manager at Eurovent Certification.

With his charismatic grin, infectious energy and his own unique mix of German / Australian humour, Tim was a big character not just within the Eurovent family, but within the HVAC and refrigeration industry at large.

Tim had been an integral part of the Eurovent Certification team since August 2023. Tasked with business development in Europe with a particular affinity to the DACH region, Tim used his technical knowledge and skills as a natural born showman to manage new and existing relationships. In his role as Business Development Manager, Tim connected with people throughout the industry and often commented on how immensely he had enjoyed reigniting old friendships and acquaintances on his return to Europe from Australia. 

Tim was the consummate people person. Charismatic to the core, everyone knew when he was in the room. No stranger to a stage, Tim was often front and centre of Eurovent Certification’s presentations and campaigns and was even part of the Eurovent Band. With a talent for straight-talking, Tim’s skills came alive in presentations as he explained difficult technical concepts in a simple and straightforward manner. He thrived in front of an audience just as much as he did one-to-one. 

Tim was a team player, who would always make time to talk. With his stories and anecdotes, he was the master at making people smile. His cheerful ‘hallo’ endeared him to everyone throughout Eurovent Certification, Eurovent Association, Eurovent Market Intelligence and ProdBIM. Tim was more than just a colleague; he was a friend. 

He will be remembered for his genuine kindness, his positivity and energy, his showmanship, his stories (of which he had many), his sense of humour and sometimes-terrible ‘dad’ jokes. He will be remembered for that glint in his eye as he held an audience captive, told a good story or hammered home a punchline. He will be remembered for his catchphrases; “Certification is earned and cannot be bought,” will forever live on. He will be remembered for how warmly he always spoke about his partner, children, family and friends. But most of all, Tim will be truly and deeply missed.
