When an animal feed producer in Spain needed new air conditioning units, certified manufacturer, Servoclima, and installation company, Grupo MasterCold, had the ideal answer. Servoclima’s technical department is well versed in providing bespoke designs, so when the project had the constraints of limited installation space, the mission was on to find the optimal solution.

The project

The site, in the province of Barcelona, required a custom-made design, that would meet all performance requirements. Servoclima manufactured three made-to-measure vertical units from their Eurovent Certified SC range | CTA-V. The units were 4000 m3/h, with external power panel and canopy to protect units from the weather. 

In one of the three vertical units, the placement of the inclined cold coil with a droplet collector was included to facilitate the collection of condensate to the tray.
Grupo MasterCold’s HVAC division had the task of installing the units.

The product

The SC | CTA-V range of vertical air conditioners feature a reduced depth, for air flows from 2,500 to 10,000 m3/h in six standardised models. All feature:

• An enclosure formed by a special aluminium tube profile and injected aluminium connecting brackets, forming a rigid and compact structure.
• Standard construction with galvanized and lacquered sheet sandwich panel on the outside, thermal insulation based on injected polyurethane foam and galvanized sheet on the inside.
• Soundproof construction with sandwich panel composed of lacquered sheet on the outside, thermal and acoustic insulation composed of fiberglass with a density of 50 kg/m3 and galvanized sheet inside, perforated in the fan area. 
• Fan selected at low rpm. Optional, high-capacity acoustic absorber in the ventilation section.
• Possibility of incorporating a Free Cooling section with return fan and damper system.
