Our partnerships: AiCARR
Eurovent Certification believes that a collaborative approach is best to tackle the industry’s issues. That’s why we strive to make partnerships with leading organisations in the HVAC and refrigeration industry. One of our collaborations is with the Italian Association of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Heating and Ventilation (AiCARR). Eurovent Certification is an ‘Industry Member’ and supports the Association’s work by providing technical expertise and sponsorship of several high-profile events.
About AiCARR
As a key player in the Italian HVACR sector, AiCARR is concerned with issues relating to the responsible use of energy and natural resources, and the innovation of energy infrastructures, both in residential and industrial buildings.
Founded in 1960, AiCARR has more than 2200 members, which include planners, machinery builders, installers, maintenance operatives, scholars, researchers, students, government and national and international body officials.
AiCARR’s main aims are:
- The production and dissemination of the culture of sustainable comfort.
- The training and professional development of employees in the field with a view to enhancing their professional qualification
- The contribution towards and development of legislation in place for the sector
- The cooperation with other organisations and governing bodies, both Italian and European, as an authoritative intermediary.
With proven energy efficiency and product performance at the centre of Eurovent Certification’s work, the two organisations naturally align on AiCARRs core aims to foster a culture for sustainable environmental comfort, by reducing energy costs and increasing use of renewable sources.
Our work with AiCARR
Industry Member
As an Industry Member, Eurovent Certification is involved in the Advisory Committee of Industry Members, and gets involved in AiCARR’s technical programme of events, including the National Conference. The membership also funds 50 complimentary memberships that AiCARR offers to professionals (designers, consultants, installers, etc.) who are not yet members.
Technical expertise
Due to our large database of performances and our involvement in research projects, Eurovent Certification provides technical expertise to the Association in multiple subjects such as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and refrigeration.
53rd AiCARR International Conference
Eurovent Certification was a Platinum Sponsor of the 2024 AiCARR conference, ‘From NZEB to ZEB: the buildings of the next decades for a healthy and sustainable future.’ We also delivered a workshop entitled, “High quality HVAC-R systems, from R&D to delivery and what is in between.” The workshop delved into the critical significance of specifying certified HVAC-R products to ensure optimal performance.
39th National Conference
Eurovent Certification was proud to sponsor the 2023 AiCARR National Conference, ‘Energy requalification of building stock: technical and financial solutions.’ The conference focussed on the important issue of energy retrofitting of buildings, in light of the draft revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the "Fit for 55" package of measures to reduce CO emissions by 2030.
