Did you know that two of the most respected names in fan technology, ebm papst and ZIEHL-ABEGG, are Eurovent Certified? As participants of the Eurovent Certified Performance programme for Fans, the industry giants are driving forward innovation and strengthening the industry’s shift toward lower carbon emissions via the power of proven performance.
The Eurovent Certification programme evaluates fans intended for use in Air Handling Units (AHUs) and has been developed in collaboration with the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc, along with its European regional office, AMCA EU. The Fans programme combines AMCA certification protocols with Eurovent Certification’s stringent audit process to create a comprehensive, globally recognised scheme, that attests the performance of AHU fans.
Fans are a central component in AHUs, therefore it's vital that specifiers have accurate information when making product decisions. An underperforming fan can undermine the entire AHU’s performance, making it less efficient, noisier, harder to maintain, and more costly to operate, all while increasing environmental and regulatory risks.
Certification ensures that the product performs as advertised. Certified products have passed vigorous and independent laboratory tests and factory audits, to verify product data. Plus, products enter a surveillance process to ensure they continue to comply with the data declared.
The Eurovent Certification programme certifies air flow rates and available pressure, with options for certifying acoustic characteristics and energy efficiency. In an HVAC market increasingly driven by sustainability, system optimisation, and regulatory compliance, third-party validation offers peace of mind to decision makers.
HVAC professionals can access impartial, transparent, verified product data for free, online via Eurovent’s Certified Product Directory. Crucially, as all products go through the same evaluation process, the certification allows for meaningful comparisons between products.
