The Interprofessional Refrigeration and Applications Trade Show (SIFA) returned from 19th - 21st November at the EUREXPO LYON, France. Billed as THE trade show for refrigeration and its applications, some 4000 attendees were able to visit 130+ exhibitors across three days. The event brought together all the players in the industry: manufacturers, refrigeration installers, end-users, design offices and OEMs, to explore the latest trends and innovations in refrigeration.

Eurovent Certification played a vital role as a Sliver Sponsor and could be found at stand 47 in the exhibition area. The team was keen to discuss certification and the recently released white paper, “Broken trust: Energy efficiency and the refrigeration industry,” with a key audience. On Tuesday 19th November, Eurovent Certification’s France Partnership Manager, Sophie Bocquillon, held a workshop on CO2 systems with Philippe Blanc, Commercial Director for LU-VE in France.

Event highlights

The workshop

A keen audience gathered for the workshop, “Optimising CO2 Installation: Combining Performance and Transparency.” Lead by Sophie and Philippe, the workshop explored the key findings of Eurovent Certification’s white paper, and how gaps between expected and actual performance can affect all refrigeration industry players. Taking delegates on a technical journey through the issues of underperformance using the latest research on CO2 gas coolers, backed up by case study examples, Sophie and Philippe then delivered concrete strategies for choosing reliable products and reduce the risk of system underperformance.

Delegates left with the knowledge to make informed, forward-thinking product decisions, and an appreciation for accurate performance data.

Relationship building

SIFA offered the Eurovent Certification team the opportunity to catch up certified and uncertified manufacturers, specifiers and other industry professionals. It’s a vital event in the Frech refrigeration sector for promoting the benefits of certification, and discussing industry issues.

Thank you to the SIFA organisers, those who attended the workshop, and to everyone who dropped by the Eurovent Certification stand.
