Partnership working is key to supporting the HVAC and refrigeration industry, and so Eurovent Certification strives to assist trade organisations across Europe. In Germany, Eurovent Certification is a supporting member of the Verband Deutscher Kälte-Klima-Fachbetriebe e.V. (VDKF), the Association of German Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Specialist Companies. As a leading trade association for the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industry, the VDKF is a key player in the German HVACR sector.

About VDKF

The VDKF e.V. is a registered association based in Bonn. Established 1962, the organisation has over 1,000 member companies, and acts as a partner to the refrigeration system engineering trade (40,000 employees, turnover 6.8 billion euros).

The VDKF’s range of services extends to:

• Representing the interests and economic policy concerns of association members to government agencies, authorities and organisations
• Promoting the professional exchange of ideas
• Encouraging personal relationships between its members
• Providing a comprehensive range of membership services including:

Supporting member

Eurovent Certification joined the VDKF as a supporting member in 2023. Supporting members are typically manufacturers, wholesalers, service providers, and suppliers connected to refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump technology.

Supporting members are key to strengthening the supply chain, offering technical expertise, and ensuring that VDKF member contractors have access to innovative, reliable, and compliant products.

Supporting members can share knowledge to working groups, help shape industry standards, and provide practical input for training and education. Eurovent Certification has also contributed to VDKF INFORMATION magazine.

Events

Eurovent Certification and the VDKF have supported each other to deliver industry events. The VDKF’s President, Karl-Heinz Thielmann, was one of the high-profile speakers at the inaugural Kalte Kolloquium in 2023 at the Maritim Hotel, Darmstadt.
